annual events that take place in different countries to determine
each Continents' Champions |
Jr. World Champs Annual event that takes place in a
different country each year. |
Nations Cup Is the event of the year where
Atheletes pplay for their Nation |
INTERNATIONAL EVENTS: The FGA World Cup Tour,
organized by the FGA and its International regional directors, are
the penultimate events on the FGA schedule. World Pro Tour events
take place in member nations and provide a competitive forum for the
elite athletes and substantial prize moneys. The FGA Continental
Open events are the first step in qualifying athletes for the World
Cup Tour and are organized by FGA regional directors or joint
ventured with sanctioned event promoters. |
| NATIONAL EVENTS: Most FGA member countries organize
National events within the following categories: |
CHALLENGERS These events provide a points
rating for atheletes attempting to reach the national
championships and Continental Open level Events.

REGIONAL In most
countries these events target developing athletes intent on
improving their skills to gain entry to the Challenger series
level events. |
JUNIORS The
participants in these events compete as athletes and may be
divided into age group and or skill level categories. This
category includes the Jr. National
Championship's. | |
POINT
SYSTEM The FGA World Ranking List is a universal point system
that enables the FGA to rank amateurs on the same list as the
professionals. The list is updated weekly for the International
events and quarterly for the National events. |

To provide
a partnership that represents the best interests of the sport and
its athletes, the FGA regions include the following

FGA GOLF INDUSTRY Representatives from the
leading golf industry firms that produce hard and soft goods
specifecally for golf enthusiasts. |
INTERNATIONAL GOLF ASSOCIATIONS Regroups the
national golf associations from each country involved in
event, education, entertainment programs, and clubs.

PROFESSIONAL GOLF ASSOCIATIONS Regroups the
atheletes with international membership cards that wish to
enter the FGA World Cup
Tour. | |

THE FGA FEDERATION
|
BOARD OF DIRECTORS Each
partner has one representative on the FGA Board of Directors
(B.O.D) The B.O.D. decides the overall direction and goals for
the FGA and all agreements are voted upon. |
COMMISSIONS Each
continent elects FGA representatives for their national
commisions that include: Event, Finance, Marketing,
Administration, Media, Technical, Education, and
Travel. |
REGIONAL WORK Each
member nation is autonomous as it pertains to their region
decision making. FGA regulations and guideLines are
interpreted and acted upon by the independent
regions. | |
